By far the best movie that mocks military spending to suit special interests and top brass alike is The Pentagon Wars. The time you invest in watching this film is worth it. It was released in 1998, and Kelsey Grammer and Cary Elwes are both excellent in this movie. I can’t predict what you’ll walk away with but as for me the movie and story points to some serious involvement in military toys by the generals who never see combat but who only view the toys as, well, toys. And the ending segment where the quality of one set of tanks, designed and built for American soldiers, are of inferior quality, and another set of tanks and weaponry are designed with reinforced steel and higher design standards for America’s allies. That for me was news.
