CAMTASIA is owned by TechSmith.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2021

Wednesday, October 13, and Thursday, October 14, 2021, I ferreted through TechSmith’s site to learn how to upload a screencast I generated to Screencast.com.  I changed my password twice, because of a message that read there was something wrong with the communication between Camtasia and Screencast.  So I went to Camtasia’s chat, which is always time well spent.  :-/

But I got a few sources:

The workaround is to produce a local MP4 and upload to Screencast.com via a web browser.

Yes, produce an mp4 to your hard drive and then upload that video to the screencast platform from your web browser. This video will show you how.

I can upgrade to v2021 here.  Current version is Version 6.0.2 (Build 885), March 4, 2009.  Cam has a 50%-off promo going on right now.  Yes, 50% off: was $139.99, now $70.

Well, my troubles didn’t end there.  Turns out that TechSmith no longer offers support for out-of-date products.

Please note that Technical Support is no longer offered for that product version. You can find out more about our live support and what products are covered via this link: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/203732728 For product versions no longer supported you can still visit our help center (https://support.techsmith.com) to look up help articles, or visit our community (https://feedback.techsmith.com) to receive help from other community members.

I don’t know why I am putting these Bill Myers links here, but maybe they’lll be useful: GuerillaBill’s YouTube Channel and Bill’s website.
